So, Black Stone stops here. Written Lent to Easter, 2004, to honor the birth of my son. The epigraph from Spengler reads: "Sympathy, observation, comparison, immediate and inward certainty, intellectual flair—these were the means whereby he [Goethe] was enabled to approach the secrets of the phenomenal world in motion." I'll remove this in a few weeks. Time to find a home for these stones in print. Thanks to many for private and public support of this work.

There have been very few poetic projects in recent memory of such intense duration. And within what you've done, there are many moments of intense feeling and, if I may use the word, luminosity.
